The cross bookcase

Built from a single geometric cross-shaped unit, this modular bookcase can be combined and recombined into an open range of compositions, a lightweight wall-mounted system rather than a single fixed piece of furniture. Individual crosses interlock to build up larger, denser clusters or looser, more sculptural arrangements, letting the same basic module scale from a small accent shelf to a full wall display. White frosted glass panels can be added into the composition for extra contrast and function, turning open display niches into closed storage where needed. The system works equally well in private homes and collective or commercial spaces: as a bookcase, a product display, or simply a piece of sculptural wall relief in its own right.
