An extension and renovation of an existing headquarters building in Amman, this project wraps new floors in a fine metal mesh screen that filters the strong Jordanian daylight while giving the addition its own distinct texture against the more solid, punched-window facade of the original structure below. The contrast is deliberate: rather than matching the existing building's language, the new work reads clearly as an addition, layered lightly over what came before. Behind the screen, the extended floors continue the office program upward, with the mesh softening direct sun exposure on what would otherwise be a fully glazed, west-facing elevation, a practical response to Amman's climate as much as an aesthetic one.
